Manager, A&R - AWAL
The Manager, A&R at AWAL is responsible for identifying and acquiring recording artists, songs, and producers across various genres. This role involves leading artist development efforts and reports directly to the President and Head of A&R, AWAL North America.
Key responsibilities include attending live shows, providing feedback on new music, proposing new artists for AWAL, visiting artist websites and social media, searching for new songs for existing talent, coordinating label relationships, providing creative input on artist material, finding suitable producers and recording studios, coordinating production processes, planning recording budgets, evaluating recording and mixing progress, coordinating asset deliverables, maintaining records of shows attended, and collaborating with other label departments to determine follow-up steps post-record release.
The ideal candidate is passionate about music, possesses over three years of experience in the music or entertainment industry with a proven track record of discovering new and emerging talent, has knowledge of the recording and release process, experience working with artists from various genres, is a proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving, social, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrates exceptional communication and time management abilities. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is crucial.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 USD.
