Marketing Backend Developer
The Marketing Backend Developer at 8am will support and enhance the backend infrastructure powering our customer-facing websites and Marketing Operations systems. This mid-level role is ideal for developers with solid backend fundamentals and experience in modern cloud and API-based architectures, eager to deepen their technical expertise while collaborating closely with marketing and web teams.
Key responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and supporting backend services and APIs for customer-facing websites and marketing platforms. The role involves assisting with integrations between Marketing Operations systems such as Marketo and Salesforce to ensure reliable data flow and workflow automation. Additionally, the developer will contribute to database design and maintenance, build and maintain APIs integrating with third-party platforms and internal tools, and optimize backend code for performance, scalability, and stability.
Candidates should have 3–6 years of experience in developing and supporting backend systems, APIs, or services. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Proficiency in cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS services like Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB, is essential. Experience with server-side APIs using languages such as Ruby, Python (Django, Flask), or Node.js is necessary. Familiarity with marketing technology stacks and integrations, as well as exposure to modern web architectures like composable or JAMStack environments, is advantageous.
