Mechatronics Specialist/ Engineer (Robotics)

As a Mechatronics Specialist/Engineer at Hyphen Connect Limited, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing advanced electromechanical systems. Your role focuses on innovating motor designs and control systems to enhance efficiency and performance, contributing significantly to our cutting-edge robotics projects.

Your primary responsibilities include specifying, testing, and tuning BLDC motors, harmonic drives, and customized gearboxes. You will design motor control firmware using Field-Oriented Control (FOC) techniques to achieve maximum efficiency and torque density. Collaboration with mechanical engineers on joint design and thermal management is also a key aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of electromechanical systems and motor physics. Proficiency in writing firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers is essential. Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT and CAN bus is highly valued.
