Mechatronics Specialist/ Engineer (Robotics)

Hyphen Connect is seeking a Mechatronics Specialist/Engineer to join our innovative team in Boston, USA. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing advanced electromechanical systems, focusing on enhancing motor designs and control systems to improve efficiency and performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include specifying, testing, and tuning BLDC motors, harmonic drives, and customized gearboxes. You will also design motor control firmware using Field-Oriented Control (FOC) techniques to achieve maximum efficiency and torque density. Collaboration with mechanical engineers on joint design and thermal management will be essential to ensure seamless integration of systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electromechanical systems and motor physics. Proficiency in writing firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers is required, along with hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT and CAN bus.
