Microbiologist
Eurofins Agroscience Services is seeking a Microbiologist to join their team in Easton, Maryland. This role focuses on microbiology method development within a laboratory that supports various industries, including agrochemical, biopesticide, pharmaceutical, biocide, and fine chemical manufacturing. The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of scientists to deliver high-quality research and testing services.
The Microbiologist will be responsible for preparing and performing bacteriological and mycology testing on various materials and matrices, adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and relevant test guidelines. Key duties include routine inspection and performance verification of laboratory equipment, media, and microorganisms, as well as developing and writing microbiology standard operating procedures (SOPs) for GLP studies. Additional responsibilities encompass accurate data recording, technical report writing, process qualifications and validations, and providing guidance and training to technical staff.
Candidates should possess a B.S. degree in microbiology with at least 5 years of hands-on research experience in microbiological analysis; a Master's degree is preferred. Proficiency in microbial analysis using aseptic techniques, experience in GLP, GMP, and/or ISO environments, and familiarity with FDA and/or EPA regulatory submissions are essential. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, along with attention to detail and proficiency in data analysis, are also required.
