Microbiology Group Leader

The Microbiology Group Leader at Eurofins is responsible for overseeing microbiological testing operations within the laboratory. This role involves leading a team of microbiologists to ensure the delivery of high-quality analytical services that meet client requirements and regulatory standards. Eurofins is a global leader in bioanalytical testing, providing comprehensive services across various industries to ensure product safety and quality.

Key responsibilities include applying Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in all areas of responsibility, developing and implementing operational improvements, supervising team members in performing client service requirements, and coaching and training staff to enhance their professional development. The Group Leader is also tasked with coordinating workflow, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues to maintain a motivated and efficient team.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Extensive knowledge of aseptic techniques, microbial limits testing, endotoxin, sterility, environmental monitoring, and microbial identification is essential. A strong understanding of applicable regulations, including USP, ICH, and Ph. Eur., related to microbial testing, along with experience in conducting laboratory investigations and supporting audit responses, is required.
