Mid Java Developer, Enterprise Billing

Box is seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer to join the newly established Enterprise Billing team within the Enterprise Engineering division. This team collaborates closely with engineering and finance departments to develop and maintain billing-related tools and systems, including enterprise event creation pipelines, entitlement management, billing, pricing and packaging, reporting, and analytics.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and system components. Responsibilities include participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices, writing and maintaining automated tests for system stability, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a Scrum environment, monitoring and troubleshooting backend performance issues, and participating in the on-call rotation to address and triage any arising issues.

The ideal candidate has over four years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Java. Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services is required, along with a solid understanding of system design and data modeling. A proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software, strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming are essential. The candidate should be passionate about new technologies and capable of implementing them in existing products, demonstrate an ownership mentality, and strive for excellence in both technical work and team interactions. Proficiency in English is required.
