Mid-Level AI & Machine Learning Engineer
Fieldwire, a leading provider of cloud-based construction management software, is seeking a Mid-Level AI & Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in San Francisco, CA. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on innovative AI features that enhance the construction management experience for over a million users worldwide.
In this position, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining AI foundations across the full stack, integrating them into core platform capabilities. Your work will involve evaluating and adapting open-source models to domain-specific tasks through fine-tuning and transfer learning, deploying models within Fieldwire's infrastructure, and developing solutions for image understanding, visual object detection, classification, and segmentation. Additionally, you will extract and interpret information from complex documents, PDFs, and images, applying AI and computer vision techniques to enhance user workflows.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in AI or Machine Learning roles. Strong practical experience in machine learning, including training, evaluating, and deploying models, is essential. Hands-on experience with computer vision and image-processing techniques, as well as proficiency in modern development tools and languages, is required. Expertise in writing clean, well-tested, and modular code is also necessary.
