Molecular Biology Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist

The company is seeking a Molecular Biology Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist to join its Research & Early Development team in Philadelphia, PA. This role focuses on supporting lentiviral vector design, construction, and functional evaluation, as well as engineered cell line development for CAR-T and other cell therapy programs.

In this position, the scientist will independently execute viral vector plasmid and helper plasmid design and construction to support gene overexpression, knock-down, and knock-out studies. They will perform routine molecular cloning workflows, maintain accurate plasmid records, and generate and characterize engineered mammalian cell lines for various applications. Additional responsibilities include mammalian cell culture, transient transfection, small-scale vector production, and conducting molecular/cellular assays to evaluate vector performance.

Candidates should possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years or a Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience in a related field. Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, and transient transfection is required. Experience in generating engineered cell lines, exposure to viral vector production, and proficiency with assays such as qPCR/dPCR, flow cytometry, Western blot, and ELISA are preferred.
