Network Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales)
Arista Networks is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Sales Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Account Managers to provide technical expertise and support to our enterprise and commercial clients in the San Diego region. As a trusted advisor, you will help identify customer challenges and design innovative networking solutions that align with their business objectives.
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting whiteboard network architectural reviews, delivering Arista product presentations, and proposing Data Center and Campus network solutions utilizing leaf-spine architectures with technologies such as VxLAN and EVPN. You will perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups and network deployments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, you will develop design guidelines, recommend network improvements, respond to RFPs and RFQs, and provide valuable feedback to our Product Management and Engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a technical field and have at least 7 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation, focusing on Data Center and Campus networks. Expertise in routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols, is essential, with Wi-Fi experience considered a plus. Preferred qualifications include industry certifications such as ACE:L5, CCIE, or JNCIE, as well as experience with network overlays, automation tools like Python and Ansible, and a strong understanding of competitive products and services.
Arista Networks offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $117,000 to $175,000, with actual pay determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
