New York Debt Finance Associate Attorney
Clifford Chance's New York office is seeking a Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join its Banking & Finance Group. This role involves advising on a wide range of debt finance matters, including leveraged finance, private credit, infrastructure finance, hybrid capital, fund finance, corporate lending, and syndicated facilities. The successful candidate will work with financial institutions, corporates, sponsors, funds, and direct lenders on acquisition financings, refinancings, liability management, and other complex financing arrangements.
Key responsibilities include structuring and executing both domestic and cross-border transactions, providing clear and pragmatic advice on sophisticated finance matters, and representing clients on both lender and borrower-side mandates. The associate will collaborate closely with colleagues across various practice areas and jurisdictions to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
The ideal candidate must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school, demonstrate high academic achievement, and have experience with sponsor-side representation. Admission to the New York Bar is required, or the ability to waive into it. Prior experience in a peer law firm is preferred, along with a strong interest in debt finance, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $260,000 to $435,000 annually, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
