On Call/Flex Laboratory Assistant

Eurofins is seeking an On Call/Flex Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role offers flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support our laboratory operations. The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the daily assaying of samples, performing tests from a daily work list, and preparing solutions used in testing. Additional duties include setting up and weighing sample batches, identifying the need for rechecks, and maintaining accurate records of work performed. Ensuring a safe and clean laboratory environment and adhering to all pertinent health, safety, and environmental regulations are also key aspects of this role.

Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, along with strong communication abilities. A high school diploma is required, and a basic understanding of ISO 17025 guidelines is preferred. While prior experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to gain experience in a laboratory setting.
