Operations Supervisor
The Operations Supervisor at Legend Biotech is responsible for overseeing the daily production of personalized cell therapies within a sterile cGMP environment. This role is part of the Technical Operations team based in Raritan, New Jersey, and focuses on supporting both clinical and commercial manufacturing requirements. The position operates on a specified shift schedule, with options including Wednesday through Saturday on the second shift.
Key responsibilities include leading and supervising multiple units within the CAR-T process operations, such as component preparation manufacturing, manufacturing support operations, mock cell, and the CAR-T process itself. The supervisor is expected to conduct daily start-of-shift and wrap-up meetings, assign daily production tasks, and ensure compliance with cGMP requirements. Additionally, the role involves working closely with operations personnel on the production floor to provide guidance, supporting manufacturing investigations, revising operational procedures, and managing change controls.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of six years of operations experience within a cGMP environment in the biotech or biopharma industry is required, with prior experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance related to the manufacturing of cell-based products is also necessary.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is between $93,463 and $122,670 USD annually.
