Paralegal (12-month contract)

Canva is seeking a Paralegal for a 12-month contract to support its legal team in Beijing, China. This role involves assisting with legal matters in innovative sectors such as artificial intelligence, data privacy, and content moderation, contributing to Canva's mission of empowering the world to design.

Key responsibilities include conducting legal research, reviewing and monitoring laws and regulations, assisting with agreements and compliance analysis, and supporting the implementation of corporate compliance policies. The paralegal will also manage tasks related to contracts, law firm invoices, and department record-keeping, leveraging AI to enhance these processes.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of legal experience supporting technology companies, either in-house or at a law firm, with international or multinational company experience being advantageous. A solid understanding of legal principles and practices, fluency in written and verbal English, and a detail-oriented, self-motivated approach are essential.
