Paralegal - Commercial & Corporate

XAI is seeking a Paralegal to support its in-house legal department across various areas, including contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and intellectual property. The company operates with a flat organizational structure, emphasizing hands-on contributions and direct involvement in its mission. This role is full-time and on-site, with locations in Palo Alto, Austin, Washington, D.C., or New York.

In this position, the Paralegal will assist in drafting legal documents, managing compliance for commercial and corporate agreements, and supporting corporate governance activities such as entity management and regulatory filings. The role also involves collaborating cross-functionally to streamline legal operations and integrate technology tools to enhance efficiency. Flexibility and a willingness to take on diverse tasks within the legal department are essential.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and enthusiasm for technology. The ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and exercise sound judgment under pressure is crucial. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a proactive mindset, are essential. An interest in emerging technologies like AI is advantageous, and notary registration or a desire to obtain certification is desirable.

The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 USD, complemented by equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and various other discounts and perks.
