Paralegal - Corporate
Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join their Corporate team at the Newcastle Legal Delivery Centre. This centre collaborates with the Delhi office to support global legal teams by effectively utilizing knowledge, resources, processes, and legal technology to serve clients. The Newcastle Delivery Centre encompasses various practice areas, including Global Financial Markets, Corporate, Real Estate, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Tax, Pensions & Employment.
As a Corporate Paralegal, you will work within the Corporate, Antitrust, and Private Equity product groups, ensuring that knowledge, resources, processes, and technology are deployed effectively to support clients. Your role will involve drafting documents from templates, assisting with "Know Your Client" checks, managing local jurisdictional searches, providing horizon scanning support, conducting Companies House searches and filings, preparing bound volumes, reviewing contracts (due diligence and ad hoc), handling comments, supporting signings/closings, setting up and managing data rooms, conducting legal research, reviewing NDAs, and performing other administrative tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable previous experience in an office or corporate environment, with a strong academic background. You should have flexible and effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent research capabilities, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and produce complex findings. Proficiency in applying and using a range of technology is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team. Experience in a customer service environment and fluency in a European language, particularly French, German, Spanish, or Italian, are desirable.
