Paralegal (Estate Planning Specialist)

The Estate Planning Specialist I at Mercer Advisors plays a crucial role within the Estate Planning team, supporting Estate Planning Specialists and other team members in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position is integral to the company's mission of providing comprehensive financial services, including estate planning, to over 31,300 families across more than 90 U.S. cities.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and preparing deeds, assignments, and other funding documents, ensuring proper filing with county recorders, and managing workflows related to funding tasks. The role also involves assisting in the creation of entities by preparing formation documents and filings, summarizing existing estate plans, and supporting the creation of estate planning documents such as trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.

Candidates must possess a Paralegal Certificate and have knowledge of WealthDocs. The role requires proactive follow-up, excellent organizational and time management skills, adaptability, confidentiality, a positive attitude, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment.
