Paralegal - GFM
Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join their Global Financial Markets (GFM) team at the Newcastle Legal Delivery Centre. This centre collaborates with the Delhi office to provide comprehensive support to global legal teams, leveraging knowledge, resources, processes, and legal technology to serve clients effectively. The GFM team encompasses various practice areas, including Asset Finance, Derivatives and Structured Products, Structured Asset Backed Real Estate, Financial Regulation, Restructuring and Insolvency, and Debt Finance.
As a GFM Paralegal, you will be responsible for conducting due diligence and contract reviews, drafting transaction documents and letters, and reviewing pre and post-completion work. Additional duties include assisting with the collation and preparation of conditions precedent, preparing transaction bibles and providing post-closing support, proofreading, checking cross-referencing, redacting documents, and preparing execution versions with signing support. You will also integrate legal technology into processes, utilizing tools such as Kira, High Q, Relativity, and Contract Companion to enhance service delivery.
Ideal candidates should possess strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. Proficiency in updating internal tracking systems and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, systems, and processes are essential. Effective communication skills and the ability to work efficiently within a team are crucial. Experience with legal technology and a commitment to advancing skills in this area will be advantageous.
