Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm with over 30 offices worldwide, is seeking a diligent and organized Paralegal to join their Hong Kong Public Companies Practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic legal environment, supporting a team that provides high-quality advice and legal insight to public companies in Hong Kong.
As a Paralegal, you will assist lawyers in preparing, proofreading, amending, and reviewing legal documents, including prospectuses, annual reports, and regulatory filings. Your responsibilities will also include conducting legal research, supporting the preparation and execution of transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings, and coordinating with clients and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will participate in due diligence exercises, maintain and organize case files, and provide general administrative support to the legal team.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field, with prior experience as a paralegal, preferably in corporate and securities law. Strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases are essential. The ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail is crucial.
