Paralegal - Transactional
Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join their Capital Markets team at the Newcastle Legal Delivery Centre. This centre collaborates with the Delhi office to support global lawyer teams by effectively utilizing knowledge, resources, processes, and legal technology to serve clients. The Newcastle Delivery Centre encompasses various practice areas, including Global Financial Markets, Corporate, Real Estate, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Tax, Pensions & Employment.
In this role, the Paralegal will be responsible for tasks related to Capital Markets products, such as conducting red flag due diligence exercises, reviewing subscription and other fund documents, assisting with signings and closings, verifying prospectuses and investor presentations, drafting transaction documents and letters, reviewing pre and post-completion work, proofreading, checking cross-referencing, redacting, and preparing precedents. The position also involves integrating legal technology into processes and advancing skills in this area.
Candidates should possess a strong attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent research capabilities, and the ability to work proactively and efficiently within a team. A graduate degree in any discipline is required, with non-law degrees accepted. Proficiency in applying and using a range of technology is essential. Previous experience in an office or corporate environment is advantageous.
