Payroll Incident & Risk Lead

Remote is seeking a Payroll Incident & Risk Lead to oversee the strategic development and execution of global payroll risk and incident management. This leadership role involves enhancing risk posture, resolving high-impact incidents, and fostering a culture of risk awareness across the organization. The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the EMEA region.

In this role, you will design and implement global risk management frameworks for payroll operations, new product features, and market expansion. You will lead cross-functional risk assessments, manage the global payroll risk register, and drive the strategic use of risk scoring tools. Additionally, you will serve as the escalation point for complex payroll incidents, establish processes for incident triaging and resolution, and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts to ensure continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll risk management, incident response, compliance, or operations management, preferably within global payroll, finance, SaaS, or regulated industries. Strong project management skills, the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, and excellent communication skills are essential. Experience in mentoring or managing teams in a distributed, remote-first environment is also required.

Remote offers a competitive annual salary range of $49,900 to $112,300 USD for this full-time position.
