People Partner
Black Forest Labs is seeking a People Partner to serve as the primary HR representative for its North American operations, based in San Francisco. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and implement people processes, enhance leadership capabilities, and establish a solid operational foundation for a rapidly growing team. Reporting to the Head of People in Freiburg, Germany, the People Partner will collaborate closely with the European People team to ensure seamless support for the U.S. team across time zones.
Key responsibilities include providing strategic HR partnership to North American leaders and employees, focusing on performance management, team effectiveness, and organizational design. The People Partner will coach and develop managers, support workforce planning and headcount decisions, and lead employee relations matters in the U.S. Additionally, the role involves overseeing core People Operations processes such as onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and maintaining HRIS data integrity.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of HR experience, with significant time spent in a People Partner or HR Business Partner role within the tech industry, preferably in deep tech sectors like AI or infrastructure. Experience working with European-headquartered companies is advantageous, as is a solid understanding of U.S. employment law. The role requires a balance of strategic partnering and hands-on People Operations, with strong coaching skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
