Personal Injury Attorney - Texas
The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, A.P.C. is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join their Houston, Texas office. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of personal injury cases, including those involving school and government liability. The firm offers a supportive environment with mentorship from senior attorneys and opportunities for professional development.
As a Personal Injury Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include managing a caseload of various personal injury matters in litigation, preparing and drafting legal documents such as complaints, and drafting meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes. You will also prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings, take and defend depositions throughout the course of litigation, and prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions. Attending court appearances, preparing for trial, negotiating settlements, and directing and supporting investigations on all assigned litigation matters are also key aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in Personal Injury Law, with a strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery. A Juris Doctor degree and current good standing with the Texas State Bar are required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in Workers' Compensation is a plus.
Compensation for this position includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, complimentary parking, and paid time off. The salary range is between $80,000 and $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
