Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a highly organized and empathetic Personal Injury Case Manager to join their team in Chicago, Illinois. As a Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with developing settlements, preparing documents, and managing a varied caseload. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the firm's mission of advocating for consumer rights.

In this role, your daily responsibilities will include interacting with existing and potential clients via telephone and in person, ordering medical records from providers, and communicating with clients and providers during the course of treatment. You will also obtain necessary documents to support injury and liability positions, interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances, and work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files. Maintaining organized case files, preparing comprehensive demands, and assembling support for submission to carriers are also key aspects of the position. Additionally, you will interact with attorneys and present case synopses when required, and manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and have prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager, with at least two years of experience in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster. Strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with the ability to type no less than 35 words per minute, is required. Please note that remote and hybrid work options are not eligible for this position.

Compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $85,000 annually, with bonus eligibility. Full-time employees are offered an excellent benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
