Physical Security Specialist - Sydney Campus

Canva is seeking a Physical Security Specialist to join our Sydney campus team. This role is integral to our Protective Security Group, which is dedicated to safeguarding our people, spaces, systems, and data from physical security threats. As we continue to grow, maintaining a secure and safe environment is paramount to our mission of empowering the world to design.

In this position, you will support the implementation of Canva's emergency preparedness and incident response strategies, investigating and reporting on safety and security incidents. You will develop and maintain campus safety and security policies and procedures, ensuring they remain effective and up-to-date. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact for onsite campus teams and security vendors regarding security and safety matters.

The ideal candidate will have a background in security operations and risk management, preferably across multiple sites. Experience in developing and maintaining security and safety policies, as well as managing physical security or safety incidents with a focus on continuous improvement, is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively convey safety and security information to diverse audiences. Knowledge of relevant safety and security regulations, such as AS 3745-2010, is also necessary.
