Post-Conviction Relief Attorney

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC, is seeking a dedicated Post-Conviction Relief Attorney to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law within an established firm. Reporting to the Supervising Attorney, the successful candidate will collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants to manage post-conviction relief cases.

Key responsibilities include advising clients on their legal rights, drafting legal documents, and handling post-conviction relief cases such as motions to vacate, expungements, and early termination of probation. The attorney will attend motion hearings, manage court appearances, draft motions, interview clients, and perform legal research. Additionally, the role involves analyzing probable case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents and providing legal analysis to determine potential case benefits.

The ideal candidate will have experience in criminal defense or immigration law, with a background in handling criminal cases at the state and local levels. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with fellow associates are essential. While bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred, it is not a requirement.
