Pre-Suit Maritime Attorney
Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking an attorney with a strong background in maritime law to join our South Florida Maritime group. This position offers an opportunity to develop your maritime litigation practice at one of the preeminent litigation firms in the country.
The Pre-Suit Maritime Attorney will handle motor vehicle accident cases on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include drafting and filing litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda of law. The attorney will guide plaintiff clients through the case process, interact with expert witnesses—including conducting conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits—and prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances on behalf of plaintiffs.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from a fully accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar. While 0-10+ years of personal injury experience, ideally in maritime law, is preferred, we are open to attorneys with varying levels of experience. The ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases, excellent client service and communication skills, self-motivation driven by long-term career goals, and superior writing and oral advocacy skills are essential.
Morgan & Morgan offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays. As a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, we provide a supportive environment for professional growth and development.
