Prep Technician

Eurofins is seeking a Prep Technician to join our team in Girraween, NSW. As a global leader in environmental testing services, Eurofins provides comprehensive analytical solutions to ensure the safety and sustainability of our environment. The Prep Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our laboratory operations by preparing samples for analysis and maintaining quality standards.

In this role, the Prep Technician will be responsible for receiving and sorting water and soil samples, assigning tests using the ELVIS database, and preparing batch sheets in Microsoft Excel. Duties include extracting analytes from samples, combining water extractions, concentrating solutions, and ensuring traceability of prepared samples. The technician will also perform quality control tests, prioritize samples based on turnaround times, and adhere to quarantine procedures as directed by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS).

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of chemistry and mathematics, equivalent to Year 11 education. While no prior experience is required, a preference for technical environments and a desire to learn and improve are essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are important for success in this role.

Eurofins offers a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, based in Girraween, NSW. Employees receive an additional 1.5% superannuation on top of the national standard rate.
