Presuit Secretary (Entry Level)
The Pre-Suit Secretary at Morgan & Morgan plays a vital role in managing the law firm's daily operations, providing essential administrative support to the legal team. Key responsibilities include assisting case managers and attorneys with organizing, filing, and maintaining client files, handling up to 100 cases. The role also involves collecting and processing requests for medical records, accident reports, and other pertinent documents, as well as preparing and sending various correspondence such as demand letters and contracts. General office duties like typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail are also part of the daily tasks.
Candidates should possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for those who are bilingual in English and Spanish. While one year of experience in the legal field is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing and file management, is essential. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is highly valued. Strong written and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, are required.
