Presuit Secretary (Entry Level)
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a dedicated Pre-Suit Secretary to join our Orlando, Florida office. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to support our legal team in managing day-to-day operations and providing essential administrative services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will assist case managers and attorneys by organizing, filing, and maintaining client files for up to 100 cases. Responsibilities include collecting and processing check requests for medical records, accident reports, and other pertinent documents. You will also be tasked with copying documents, preparing demand packages, completing certified mailings, and performing general office duties such as typing and sorting mail. Additionally, you will create and manage client folders, prepare and send various correspondence, and handle other duties as assigned.
Candidates should have an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for those who are bilingual in English and Spanish. While one year of experience in the legal field is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing and file management, is essential. The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under minimal supervision is crucial. Strong written and communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required. Typing speed should be no less than 35 words per minute.
