Presuit Secretary (Entry Level)
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a qualified Pre-Suit Secretary to join their team in Fort Myers, Florida. This role is integral to the firm's mission of providing accessible legal services to individuals across the United States.
As a Pre-Suit Secretary, you will be responsible for managing the law firm's day-to-day operations, including carrying out administrative services and supporting the legal team. Your duties will include assisting case managers and attorneys with organizing, filing, and maintaining client files for over 100 cases, collecting check requests for medical records, accident reports, driving records, and vehicle ownership, and performing general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail. Additionally, you will prepare and send various legal documents, including turndowns, no representation letters, contracts, multi-party combo letters, and demand letters.
The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in the legal field is advantageous. Candidates should have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing, file management, and other office procedures. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
