Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a qualified Pre-Suit Secretary to join their Brooklyn office. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to support the legal team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a Pre-Suit Secretary, you will be responsible for assisting case managers and attorneys with organizing, filing, and maintaining client files, handling up to 100+ cases. Your duties will include collecting check requests for medical records, accident reports, driving records, and vehicle ownership, as well as copying documents and demand packages as requested. Additional responsibilities encompass completing certified mail cards, mailing documents and cost checks, performing general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail, creating new and existing client folders, preparing and sending turndowns and no representation letters, contracts, and multi-party combo letters, and sending out demand letters.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in the legal field is advantageous. Candidates should have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing, file and record management, and other office procedures. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage a fast-paced workload with minimal supervision is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a typing speed of no less than 35 words per minute, are required.
