Principal Solutions Engineer - Data & AI Governance (South)
The Principal Solutions Engineer - Data & AI Governance at OneTrust serves as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, focusing on the intersection of Sales Engineering, AI governance, privacy, and security. This role involves designing and implementing scalable governance architectures that support innovation while meeting regulatory and risk requirements.
Key responsibilities include leading architecture discussions across AI governance, data governance, privacy, and security during enterprise sales cycles. The role also involves partnering with Account Executives and Sales Engineers to support customer meetings, executive presentations, and technical deep dives. Additionally, the engineer will lead discovery sessions to uncover governance maturity gaps and design end-to-end governance solutions that balance technical feasibility, regulatory defensibility, and operational adoption.
The ideal candidate has 6–12+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Sales, or Technical Consulting roles, with a strong background in GRC, privacy, security, or compliance. Technical expertise should include a strong understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud-native systems, and distributed environments. Domain expertise should encompass data governance and/or AI governance concepts, such as data classification and metadata management, policy enforcement, and AI lifecycle governance.
For candidates based in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington, the annual base pay range for this role is $127,500 to $191,250 USD. Individual pay is determined by factors including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
