Privacy Legal Counsel

In this position, the successful candidate will provide day-to-day legal and administrative support, including managing the team inbox, tracking incoming queries, and maintaining privacy trackers and internal records. Responsibilities also encompass reviewing privacy-related requests, contracts, and data protection provisions, as well as contributing to privacy impact assessments and other governance documentation. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated privacy solutions and translating privacy advice into practical implementation steps for the business.
Candidates should be qualified lawyers, trainees nearing qualification, or junior counsels with relevant legal experience. A strong interest in data protection and privacy law, along with a commitment to developing specialist expertise in this area, is essential. Experience in an in-house legal team or law firm, preferably with exposure to privacy or data protection matters, is advantageous. Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks consistently are important. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders, are also required.
