Product Paralegal
Okta is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Product Paralegal to join its Product Legal Team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is integral to supporting the development and launch of innovative products within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a keen interest in technology and process improvement.
Key responsibilities include conducting intakes and stakeholder interviews to gather and document information about new products and features for attorney review. The Product Paralegal will assist attorneys with initial product and feature reviews, utilizing checklists and playbooks to identify potential legal issues for further analysis. Additionally, the role involves creating and scaling tools, processes, and knowledge to enhance the efficiency of the product counseling function, as well as developing and maintaining organized records of product features and corresponding legal guidance.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for degrees in technical fields or operations management. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing paralegal support, preferably within an in-house legal department or law firm. Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, GSuite) and communication platforms (e.g., Slack, Confluence) is essential. The role demands experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in technology and process improvement.
The annual base salary range for this position is between $106,000 and $145,200 USD, depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
