Proposal & Content Manager
The Proposal & Content Manager at McGuireWoods LLP is a strategic advisor within the Marketing & Business Development department, responsible for leading high-stakes pursuits and enhancing the firm's market presence. This role involves close collaboration with attorneys and business development teams to shape pursuit strategies, manage complex RFPs and cross-practice pitches, and deliver clear, persuasive, client-focused proposals that drive new business.
Key responsibilities include leading RFPs and high-stakes pursuits, crafting compelling narratives such as executive summaries and case studies, defining pursuit objectives and win themes, and serving as a strategic advisor to shape competitive strategies. The manager will also influence and collaborate across the firm, drive operational excellence by standardizing workflows, leverage technology and AI to streamline drafting, and measure performance outcomes to inform future strategies.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience writing in a proposal environment, preferably within a law firm marketing context. A bachelor's degree or higher in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should possess extensive experience with dataset and content management tools, strong writing and editing skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, and a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications is advantageous.
