Public Procurement Lawyer
Axiom is seeking an experienced Public Procurement Lawyer to join our team in Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will collaborate with clients on complex public procurement matters, providing direct legal support and expertise. Axiom is a global leader in alternative legal services, offering innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of legal departments.
As a Public Procurement Lawyer at Axiom, your primary responsibilities will include advising corporate clients on procurement issues, drafting and negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements, and standardizing procurement terms and policies. You will also manage discussions with key stakeholders in purchasing functions to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of public procurement experience and be based in Ontario with active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Essential skills include expertise in direct and indirect procurement, IT procurement, supplier relationship management, supplier onboarding, and contractual dispute resolution. Strong negotiation abilities with opposing counsel regarding contract terms and conditions are also required.
This position offers competitive compensation, with an estimated total annual compensation ranging from $114,000 to $250,000.
