Responsable Finance & Administration – Bilingue (Français & Anglais)

Messagepoint, a leading software development company headquartered in Toronto, is seeking a bilingual Finance and Administration Manager to join its team in Ivry-sur-Seine, Île-de-France, France. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer based in Toronto and supports the Director of Operations in Paris. The position is integral to the financial team, combining oversight of financial operations with active participation in administrative functions to ensure the organization's efficiency and compliance.

The Finance and Administration Manager is responsible for managing all accounting activities in accordance with French accounting standards, including journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, and maintaining mandatory records. The role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, leading monthly and annual closing processes, preparing financial reports for the headquarters, and conducting variance and performance analyses. Additionally, the manager supervises client invoicing, monitors cash flow, prepares tax declarations such as VAT, coordinates with auditors, and ensures compliance with French legal and regulatory requirements. The position also includes preparing financial documentation for the Works Council (CSE) and supporting payroll processes.

The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or financial management, preferably in France. A strong command of French accounting standards (GAAP), local statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements is essential. Expertise in French taxation, particularly VAT, and a good understanding of payroll obligations and social regulations are required. Experience coordinating with auditors and external advisors is necessary, and familiarity with Works Council processes is advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, rigor, organizational abilities, and effective communication in both French and English.
