Responsible Social Gaming Outreach Specialist
VGW is seeking a Responsible Social Gaming Outreach Specialist to join our Responsible Social Gaming (RSG) team in Toronto. This role focuses on day-to-day case management and customer outreach, ensuring players engage in responsible gaming practices. As an interactive entertainment company, VGW delivers world-class, free-to-play online social games, prioritizing a safe and positive player experience.
The Outreach Specialist will assess player gameplay habits to determine appropriate interventions, maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information, and increase awareness about responsible gaming tools and support services. Responsibilities include providing guidance and referrals to individuals affected by gameplay activities, conducting proactive and reactive outreach through various communication channels, and staying updated on developments in problem gameplay. The role also involves building effective relationships with the account management team and collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and address potential red-flag behaviors.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in social work, adult education, psychology, public health, or a related field. A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience is preferred, though an advanced degree without experience or equivalent work experience will be considered. Working knowledge of mental health, harm reduction, addiction, and risk prevention is advantageous. Familiarity with responsible gameplay principles, relevant legislation, and industry guidelines related to social casinos is a strong asset. The role requires compassion, empathy, and the ability to assess and respond to sensitive situations, as well as experience in high-volume inbound and outbound communications.
The salary range for this position is CAD 65,000 to CAD 71,000 per year.
