Risk and Fraud Officer

The Risk & Fraud Officer will be an integral part of the Consumer Risk team, dedicated to safeguarding Alma against fraudulent activities while ensuring a reliable experience for both merchants and consumers.

In this role, the Risk & Fraud Officer will be responsible for analyzing flagged transactions, conducting thorough investigations into suspicious cases, and making informed decisions to approve, block, or request additional documentation. Daily tasks include reviewing identity scoring results, investigating alerts triggered by internal fraud rules, and detecting emerging fraud patterns. The primary objective is to identify high-risk transactions proactively to prevent defaults.

Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make autonomous decisions based on analysis and established procedures. A genuine interest in fraud prevention and fintech is essential, along with adaptability and resilience to evolving processes and fraud techniques. Proficiency in both French and English, with strong written communication skills, is required. Prior experience in fraud operations, risk management, compliance, or fintech is advantageous.

This position is based in Lille, France, with the flexibility of up to two days of remote work per week. Occasional weekend shifts may be required, approximately twice per quarter.
