Route Sales
Hawkins, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Route Sales professional to join our Water Treatment division, which serves a diverse clientele including water treatment systems, municipal and commercial swimming pools, industrial process and wastewater facilities, food manufacturers, and the oil and gas industry. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our customer base within a regional market.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include calling on existing and new customers to maintain and grow business through selling, problem-solving, and support. You will develop and grow territory within a regional market, establish productive, professional relationships with new and existing customers, and efficiently and safely deliver products to customers. Additionally, you will provide hands-on service of Hawkins and customer’s equipment, which may include repair to chemical feed equipment and visually inspecting systems, as well as prepare and present bids on new equipment and products.
The ideal candidate will possess technical experience such as equipment repair and maintenance, a strong customer service orientation and selling abilities, and experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, customer service, sales, construction, quality control, or safety. Strong computer skills, including the ability to create accurate documents and use mobile devices for regular communication, are essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and/or JD Edwards is preferred. Solid math/arithmetic skills, the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision, and strong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills are also required. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Hazardous materials endorsement and pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening.
