Sales Engineer
Riskified is seeking a highly motivated and customer-facing Sales Engineer to support its growth across Latin America. This role involves close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to drive technical discovery, solution design, and business value for enterprise merchants in the payments and fraud prevention space. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of e-commerce, payments, and fraud/risk management, and can effectively communicate technical concepts in both English and Spanish or Portuguese.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, leading technical discovery sessions to understand client payment flows and fraud challenges, and designing tailored solutions such as fraud detection strategies and payment optimization. The Sales Engineer will deliver compelling product demonstrations, support proof of value concepts, translate customer requirements into technical specifications, and act as a trusted advisor on fraud prevention best practices. Additionally, the role involves supporting RFP responses, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams, and assisting with onboarding handoff to implementation teams.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in solutions consulting, sales engineering, or fraud/risk/payments roles with client-facing exposure. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with Portuguese being a plus. Strong domain expertise in e-commerce platforms, payment ecosystems, and fraud prevention is essential. Experience with APIs, systems integrations, and presenting to both technical and business stakeholders is also required. Preferred qualifications include experience with fraud prevention SaaS providers, supporting enterprise or mid-market accounts, a background in data analysis, and prior experience in Latin American markets. The ability to travel as needed for conferences and prospect meetings is necessary.
