As a Sales Manager for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMB) at Canva, you will lead and develop high-performing outbound Account Executive teams across North America. This role is pivotal in driving Canva's mission to empower businesses to communicate visually, focusing on expanding our presence within the SMB segment. Based in our Austin, Texas office, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape and execute outbound sales strategies that support high-velocity growth.

Your primary responsibilities will include leading, coaching, and developing the SMB Outbound Account Executive teams to achieve and exceed sales targets. You will drive outbound sales strategies by shaping coverage models, identifying ideal customer profiles, segmenting markets, and developing outreach playbooks. Ensuring excellence in pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and adoption of the SPICED sales methodology across qualification and opportunity progression will be key. Additionally, you will partner with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Product, Customer Success, Growth, and Sales Leadership to align on territory planning, campaigns, market insights, and resource allocation. Identifying operational gaps and scaling processes, tooling, workflows, and reporting to support a world-class SMB revenue engine will also be part of your role.

The ideal candidate is an inspiring and empathetic leader who thrives in high-velocity sales environments. You should have 8–10 years of SaaS experience, including at least 3 years managing SMB or outbound sales teams. A structured approach to selling and fluency in methodologies like SPICED are essential, as is a strong analytical mindset with deep experience in pipeline health, forecasting discipline, and performance insights. Experience in building scalable systems, such as refining playbooks, enhancing tooling, or improving workflows, is crucial. Additionally, experience selling into or supporting teams across multiple European markets or distributed North American regions is desirable.
