Sample Collector/Phlebotomist

Eurofins is seeking a Sample Collector/Phlebotomist to join our Sample Collections team on an ad hoc, casual basis. This role involves attending pre-booked appointments within a two-hour radius of your home, providing professional hair, blood, and DNA sample collection services. As the public face of Lextox, a UKAS accredited laboratory based in Cardiff, you will maintain and develop excellent relationships with clients and donors.

Key responsibilities include implementing the requirements of the company's Quality Management System to help maintain ISO17025 accreditation, ensuring all collections are undertaken in a safe, healthy, and low-risk environment, and providing statements of truth at the point of collection. Assignments will generally be at solicitor's offices, local authority offices, or donors' homes, with appropriate PPE provided.

Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and language skills, hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle insured for business use, and have a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in phlebotomy. Proof of phlebotomy competency may be required. Desirable qualifications include experience working within the NHS or Blood Service and experience in collecting hair and DNA samples, for which in-house training is provided.

Successful applicants will be paid on a per-collection basis, with appropriate travel expenses covered, including fuel, parking fees, and sample postage. An enhanced DBS check and Hepatitis B vaccination are essential requirements for this role.
