Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking a Sample Control Technician to join our team in Marlton, NJ. This role is integral to our laboratory operations, focusing on the management and processing of environmental samples.
The Sample Control Technician is responsible for logging and tracking the receipt and shipment of all samples into and out of the laboratory, verifying their receipt against Chain of Custody (COC) documentation. Key duties include preparing bottle kits for client delivery, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of sample log-in, labeling, and routing. The technician determines the priority level and appropriate testing procedures for samples, labels and stores them according to documented procedures, and disposes of samples and waste in compliance with applicable protocols.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a BS in Biology or Chemistry is strongly preferred. A valid state-issued driver's license is required. Essential skills include proficiency in office practices and equipment, familiarity with computers and database software, understanding of laboratory and testing procedures, general mathematics, and strong oral and written communication abilities. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to use personal protective equipment are also necessary.
The position offers a pay rate of $20 per hour. Eurofins provides comprehensive medical coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and dental and vision options. The role is full-time, with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, either Tuesday through Saturday or Monday through Friday, with a preference for the Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
