Sample Control Technician (Tu - Sa, 1pm - 10pm) - Eurofins Environment Testing, Calscience, Tustin, CA
Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Sample Control Technician to join our team in Tustin, CA. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on the accurate receipt, logging, and labeling of environmental samples. Eurofins is a global leader in analytical testing services, committed to ensuring the safety and sustainability of the environment through comprehensive testing solutions.
The Sample Control Technician will be responsible for receiving and logging samples, verifying their integrity, and ensuring proper documentation through the Chain of Custody process. Additional duties include interacting professionally with clients and couriers, maintaining the shipping and receiving area, restocking supplies, and performing on-site sampling events as needed. The technician will also be tasked with disposing of samples in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency and Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking. While prior experience in fast-paced environments such as production, food service, or retail is preferred, it is not mandatory. Strong computer skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are advantageous. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $21, depending on experience and qualifications. Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and dental and vision options. The work schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential for overtime and weekend work as needed.
