Scientist, SIMS
Eurofins EAG Laboratories is seeking a Scientist to join our Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) group. EAG Laboratories, a division of Eurofins Scientific, provides comprehensive engineering and materials testing services to a diverse range of industries.
The Scientist will be responsible for conducting depth profile analyses of dielectric thin films using the Ion-ToF tool. Key responsibilities include evaluating customer requests, determining testing requirements, preparing instruments for analytical work, analyzing and testing new and existing materials to identify their properties and characteristics, and preparing detailed reports on analytical results for customers, including interpretation of findings. The role also involves ensuring instruments are operating at optimal performance and performing necessary maintenance and optimization.
Candidates must possess a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Engineering with experience in materials characterization and surface analysis techniques. Experience with the Ion-ToF tool is essential. Strong analytical and judgment skills, high computer literacy, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and exceptional written communication skills are required. Familiarity with quality system documents and compliance with all system requirements is also necessary.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and technical expertise.
