Eurofins Agroscience Services is seeking a Seasonal Agronomy Assistant to support our operations team in Lafayette, Indiana. This temporary, full-time role involves assisting with various agronomic tasks to ensure efficient facility operations during peak seasonal periods.

Key responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound agronomy products, operating and maintaining equipment, and driving company vehicles as required. The assistant will also ensure compliance with company and safety policies, assist with facility equipment maintenance and repair, and maintain facility grounds through mowing, weed control, and general housekeeping. Additionally, the role involves collecting and processing samples for crop evaluation and recordkeeping, communicating daily activities to the Location Manager, preparing accurate records in line with company standards, monitoring inventory levels of fertilizers and chemicals, and serving as a backup to Applicators as needed.

The ideal candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management and organizational abilities, and a demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset are essential. The ability to work extended or flexible hours during busy seasonal periods is required. A Commercial Applicator License is preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of employment if not already held. Knowledge of agricultural products, practices, and territory is an asset. Candidates must have an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Physical requirements include the ability to bend, climb in and out of trucks, and perform hands-on tasks. Candidates must be able to lift 40 lbs or more unassisted. Work may be performed outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Eurofins offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20. This position provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the agronomy field within a leading international life sciences company.
