Security Engineering, Manager

Affinidi is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead its Application, Platform, and Offensive Security functions. This role is integral to embedding security into the core of Affinidi's privacy-first technology, which focuses on decentralized digital identity solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is a foundational aspect of all products and services.

The Security Engineering Manager will be responsible for integrating security practices within engineering teams, reviewing architectures, building threat models, and incorporating security controls into CI/CD pipelines. They will oversee platform security by enforcing least-privilege IAM, network security, secrets management, and infrastructure hardening across Affinidi's AWS environment. Additionally, the role includes conducting regular penetration testing and red-team exercises, utilizing AI tools for threat modeling and adversarial simulations.

Candidates should have over 12 years of experience in technical security roles, encompassing application security, infrastructure/platform security, and offensive security. Proven leadership in growing security engineering teams, hands-on experience in secure architecture and threat modeling, and familiarity with AWS environments and distributed systems are essential. Knowledge of AI security risks and tools, as well as strong cryptography expertise, are highly desirable.
