Seeking a Medical Malpractice Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will collaborate closely with our attorneys, providing essential support before, during, and after trials. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission of advocating for consumer rights.
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. Your duties will include e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist attorneys with various aspects of case management.
The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of two years of litigation experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are also required.
